Life Transition
Change
is inevitable in life. Both positive life transitions and negative
ones can create stress for an individual or family. For many
people change can feel overwhelming and can lead to symptoms
or depression and anxiety. Some examples of life transitions
that can be challenging are:
-Birth of a child
-Sending a child to school
-A move
-Death |
-Divorce / Separation
-Career change
-Retirement |
Danielle Jagoda, Marriage and Family Therapist, assists many
individuals, couples, and families in adapting to these changes.
She explores with her clients ways they have successfully been
able to transition in the past. By helping clients tap into
their strengths and by bringing in sources of support ( i.e.
family and / or friends), Danielle facilitates the process of
change. She also explores the underlying emotions, which may
include fear, shame, and guilt in combination with possible
joy and hope. Clients tend to learn about themselves during
times of change and become better prepared to handle future
changes.
